Dussehra is among one of the most significant and auspicious Hindu festivals. It is celebrated on the ninth day of Navratri and marks the victory of good over evil, as Lord Rama emerged victorious at the battle at Lanka with the demon king Ravana, by killing him. Well, as the entire country is soaked into the festivities, how can our Bollywood celebrities lag far behind? A lot of B-townies took to their social media accounts and extended wishes on the occasion of Dussehra 2019.

Superstar Akshay Kumar was among the first ones to wish fans, he hoped that festival brings a lot of joy and prosperity to everyone. “#HappyDussehra everyone. Hope this festive season brings lots of prosperity and joy to all of you,” wrote the actor. Sara Ali Khan, on the other hand, shared a picture with Amrita Singh and Ibrahim Ali Khan and wrote, “Wishing everyone a Joyous, Prosperous and Righteous Dussehra. May the evil in and around you burn like the effigies of Ravana #devotion #determination #dedication” Arjun Kapoor urged his followers to destroy the evil within them by writing, “This #Dussehra, let's try and destroy the evil within us and hope for a brighter year ahead! Wishing everyone a year filled with prosperity and happiness. #HappyDussehra.”

Sonam Kapoor, too, wished fans by tweeting, "Today marks the victory over Ravan. This celebration is all about the power of light over darkness and good over evil. Hope you all have an auspicious and lovely Dussehra!” A lot of other celebrities like Anushka Sharma, Karan Johar, Arshad Warsi, Hema Malini, Ajay Devgn, Sunny Deol, Taapsee Pannu and others poured in their good wishes.
